It achieved a price of USD 100,000.00 (€ 83,125.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cesare Lapini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cupid and Psyche, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 300,000.00 (€ 259,695.29).

Für andere Arbeiten von Cesare Lapini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cupid and Psyche beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 300.000,00 (€ 259.695,29) versteigert wurde.
