Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Odalisca by Cesare Lapini. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 56,250.00 (€ 49,433.17). Admittedly, works by Cesare Lapini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cupid and Psyche in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 259,695.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Odalisca von Cesare Lapini zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 56.250,00 (€ 49.433,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesare Lapini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cupid and Psyche im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 259.695,29).
