Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italian Margherita by Cesare Lapini was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,095.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cesare Lapini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cupid and Psyche in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 259,695.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Italian Margherita von Cesare Lapini wurde im April 2010 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.095,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cesare Lapini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cupid and Psyche im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 259.695,29).
