Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Pentecost by Cesare Franchi was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection auction at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,999.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cesare Franchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Deux Musiciennes in March 2011 with an auction result of EUR 17,851.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Pentecost von Cesare Franchi wurde im Juli 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.999,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesare Franchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Deux Musiciennes im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.851,00.
