In May 2000 Christies in Milan held the auction Arte del XX secolo, which included the work Modella addormentata by Cesare Breveglieri. The »bidding war« ended at ITL 11,750,000.00 (€ 10,077.19), 47% above the upper estimate. With this result, Modella addormentata is even the most expensive work of art by Cesare Breveglieri that we have observed at auctions so far.
