A top price for César - as previously expected
The work Compression "Zim"Compressed Car by César was sold in the Art Contemporain auction at Sothebys in Paris in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 627,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Compression "Zim"Compressed Car is the most expensive artwork by César that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Compression "Zim"Compressed Car von César wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Art Contemporain bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 627.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Compression "Zim"Compressed Car das teuerste Kunstwerk von César, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
