Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Compression (pendentif) by César was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Bonhams in Paris in January 2024. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,816.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compression "Zim"Compressed Car in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 627,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Compression (pendentif) von César wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.816,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compression "Zim"Compressed Car im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 627.000,00.
