A top price for César Domela - as previously expected
In November 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Dutch Composition Néoplastique by César Domela. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 531,199.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dutch Composition Néoplastique is the most expensive artwork by César Domela that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch Composition Néoplastique von César Domela zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 531.199,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Dutch Composition Néoplastique das teuerste Kunstwerk von César Domela, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
