Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Seven-Character Couplet In Regular Script by Cen Guangyue was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,360.00 (€ 272.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cen Guangyue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in March 2019 for HKD 7,080.00 (€ 803.34).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Regular Script von Cen Guangyue wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.360,00 (€ 272,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Cen Guangyue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im März 2019 für HKD 7.080,00 (€ 803,34) versteigert wurde.
