Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work Sarah by Céline van Balen. The result of EUR 1,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Céline van Balen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work (I) Figen(II) Yesim, which sold at auction in November 2021 for EUR 4,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sarah von Céline van Balen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Céline van Balen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit (I) Figen(II) Yesim beobachtet, die im November 2021 für EUR 4.000,00 versteigert wurde.
