Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Vrouw - Woman by Cees Bantzinger was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 310.70. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cees Bantzinger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Naakt in tuin - Nude in garden, which sold at auction in July 2003 for EUR 896.25.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Vrouw - Woman von Cees Bantzinger im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 310,70 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Cees Bantzinger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Naakt in tuin - Nude in garden beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für EUR 896,25 versteigert wurde.
