Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dawn by Cecil Collins was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in June 2014. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,028.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Collins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Greeting in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 70,000.00 (€ 98,699.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dawn von Cecil Collins wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.028,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Collins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Greeting im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 70.000,00 (€ 98.699,12).
