This artwork by Catherine M. Wood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Roses and daisies in a glass vase sold for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,582.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Catherine M. Wood; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Autumn berries sold at auction in November 2001 with the realized price of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,243.75).
