Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Caspar Hirscheli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2017. In the Living with Art auction, the work Flowers in crystal vases (a pair) sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,733.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Caspar Hirscheli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gegenstücke: Blumenarrangements in Glasvasen auf einer Marmorplatte. 1731-32., which sold at auction in March 2015 for CHF 51,600.00 (€ 49,462.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Caspar Hirscheli erzielte im August 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living with Art wurde die Arbeit Flowers in crystal vases (a pair) für USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.733,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Caspar Hirscheli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gegenstücke: Blumenarrangements in Glasvasen auf einer Marmorplatte. 1731-32. beobachtet, die im März 2015 für CHF 51.600,00 (€ 49.462,21) versteigert wurde.
