The work Composition, 1957 by Carmelo Arden Quin was sold in the Contemporary Art 2 auction at Artcurial in Paris in May 2011. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,080.00 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carmelo Arden Quin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aris in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,749.73).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.080,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carmelo Arden Quin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aris im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 66.749,73).
