Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carlos Quintana could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art auction, the work Three Works on Paper changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,803.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carlos Quintana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Um saloom de téa in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,708.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlos Quintana konnte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art wechselte die Arbeit Three Works on Paper für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.803,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Quintana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Um saloom de téa im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.708,35).
