In December 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work Mr. And Mrs. Rabbit Go To Town by Carlos Almaráz. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,354.45), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Almaráz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset Beach, 1983, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,442.99).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.354,45) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Almaráz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset Beach, 1983 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.442,99) versteigert wurde.
