This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carlo Urbino; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Seated Draped Figure Seen From Below sold at auction in January 2008 with the realized price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,107.14).
