Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Easel by Carlo Scarpa was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 83,281.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Scarpa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Easel, which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 174,100.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Easel von Carlo Scarpa kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 83.281,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Scarpa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Easel beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 150.000,00 (€ 174.100,46) versteigert wurde.
