This work of art by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale auction, the work The Death Of Dido, Queen Of Carthage changed hands for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,551.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2014 by the work Lot And His Daughters; Neptune And Amphitrite at USD 68,750.00 (€ 50,925.93).
