Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Head Of A Woman Looking Down, Bust Length by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,654.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lot And His Daughters; Neptune And Amphitrite in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 50,925.93).
