In the Eclectic | New York auction, the work 'Glacier Point From Eagle Point Trail, Yosemite' changed hands for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,067.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carleton E. Watkins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The Garrison, Columbia River' in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 492,000.00 (€ 360,175.70).
