Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Peonies, Delphinium and Aster by Carle John Blenner was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2007. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,219.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carle John Blenner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Peonies, which sold at auction in June 2001 for USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,479.35).
