Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work The attentive audience by Carl Wilhelm Hübner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,640.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carl Wilhelm Hübner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Porträt des Düsseldorfer Malers Carl Hilgers (1818-1890) in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 10,965.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The attentive audience von Carl Wilhelm Hübner zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.640,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Wilhelm Hübner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Porträt des Düsseldorfer Malers Carl Hilgers (1818-1890) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.965,00.
