Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The wounded soldier by Carl von Blaas was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,716.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl von Blaas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Austrian The Prince Of Valmontone With The Donna Gwendalina Doria Pamphili And Bertram Talbot In A Villa Garden in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,940.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The wounded soldier von Carl von Blaas im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.716,19) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl von Blaas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Austrian The Prince Of Valmontone With The Donna Gwendalina Doria Pamphili And Bertram Talbot In A Villa Garden im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.940,59).
