Auction result fails to reach estimate
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Still life with rowan branches in a vase by Carl Thomsen for DKK 1,050.00 (€ 140.83). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm and was even lower than the DKK 2,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Thomsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish the Honeymoon in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,836.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life with rowan branches in a vase von Carl Thomsen für DKK 1.050,00 (€ 140,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Thomsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish the Honeymoon im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.836,99).
