A top price for Carl Thomsen - as previously expected
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Danish the Honeymoon by Carl Thomsen. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,836.99) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Danish the Honeymoon is the most expensive artwork by Carl Thomsen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Danish the Honeymoon von Carl Thomsen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.836,99) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Danish the Honeymoon das teuerste Kunstwerk von Carl Thomsen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
