Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled, Paris, 1947 by Carl Otto Hultén was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in February this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,600.00 (€ 349.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Otto Hultén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Blått samlag" in November 2018 with an auction result of SEK 40,000.00 (€ 3,882.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled, Paris, 1947 von Carl Otto Hultén im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.600,00 (€ 349,22) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Otto Hultén erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Blått samlag" im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 40.000,00 (€ 3.882,36).
