This artwork by Carl Mydans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in February 2020. In the BelovedPhotographs Online auction, the work On the 6.25 from Grand Central to Stamford ("JFK Dead") sold for USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,238.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carl Mydans; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot On the 6:25 from Grand Central to Stamford, November 22 sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,623.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Mydans erzielte im Februar 2020 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BelovedPhotographs Online wurde die Arbeit On the 6.25 from Grand Central to Stamford ("JFK Dead") für USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.238,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carl Mydans; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit On the 6:25 from Grand Central to Stamford, November 22 im April 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.623,49).
