Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carl Everton Moon could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Their First-Born changed hands for USD 1,125.00 (€ 842.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Everton Moon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Navajo Boy in February 2003 with an auction result of USD 10,157.50 (€ 9,423.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Everton Moon konnte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Their First-Born für USD 1.125,00 (€ 842,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Everton Moon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Navajo Boy im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.157,50 (€ 9.423,42).
