In June 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Fisherfolk by a village on the Dutch coast by Carl Eduard Ahrendts. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,346.00. With this result, Fisherfolk by a village on the Dutch coast is even the most expensive work of art by Carl Eduard Ahrendts that we have observed at auctions so far.
