Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Ett konstberidaresällskap (II)" (Travelling Circus troupe) by Carl d'Unker was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 25,000.00 (€ 2,459.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl d'Unker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The first and second-class waiting room in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 17,300.00 (€ 24,806.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Ett konstberidaresällskap (II)" (Travelling Circus troupe) von Carl d'Unker im Dezember 2018 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 25.000,00 (€ 2.459,41) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl d'Unker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The first and second-class waiting room im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.300,00 (€ 24.806,93).
