Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Viggbyholm by Carl Abraham Rothstén was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 17,000.00 (€ 1,919.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Abraham Rothstén - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stockholms inlopp, which sold at auction in November 2009 for SEK 60,000.00 (€ 5,722.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Viggbyholm von Carl Abraham Rothstén im Dezember 2013 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 17.000,00 (€ 1.919,73) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Abraham Rothstén mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stockholms inlopp beobachtet, die im November 2009 für SEK 60.000,00 (€ 5.722,29) versteigert wurde.
