Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Still Life With Raspberries, Grapes And Pear by Carducius Plantagenet Ream. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,572.50 (€ 5,293.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carducius Plantagenet Ream - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Regal Dessert, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,754.42).
