A top price for Cao Rulin
This artwork by Cao Rulin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Letter to Zhang Ziqi sold for HKD 17,850.00 (€ 2,021.89) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. This high result makes Letter to Zhang Ziqi the most expensive artwork by Cao Rulin that we have observed at auctions so far.
