The work 'Cratere Del Vesuvio De' 20 Novembre 1830.' by Camillo da Vito was auctioned at Christies in Rome in November 2004. It achieved a price of EUR 4,960.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42 %. Admittedly, works by Camillo da Vito have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four views of the Vesuvius erupting in January last year with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,216.55).

Die Arbeit 'Cratere Del Vesuvio De' 20 Novembre 1830.' von Camillo da Vito kam im November 2004 bei Christies in Rom zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 4.960,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Camillo da Vito auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four views of the Vesuvius erupting im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.216,55).
