Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Outside Mullingar, Early Morning by Camille Souter was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April 2021. The price achieved of GBP 9,562.50 (€ 10,999.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Camille Souter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The two old Turnips, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 21,510.00 (€ 33,684.95).
