Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Banana Plant by Cai Jin was sold in the The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,315.55). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cai Jin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Banana Plant No. 18, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 34,761.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Banana Plant von Cai Jin wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.315,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Cai Jin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Banana Plant No. 18 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 34.761,49) versteigert wurde.
