Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St Ives Round Harbour by Bryan Pearce was sold in the Modern/British Art Online auction at Christies in London in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,223.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bryan Pearce have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St. Ives (All Round) in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,941.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit St Ives Round Harbour von Bryan Pearce wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Modern/British Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.223,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bryan Pearce auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St. Ives (All Round) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.941,37).
