Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mobil by Bryan Organ was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in May 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,861.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bryan Organ - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lilies, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,512.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mobil von Bryan Organ wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.861,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bryan Organ mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lilies beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 19.200,00 (€ 28.512,60) versteigert wurde.
