In April 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two, which included the work Banana Curtains by Bruce McLean. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bruce McLean; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Handbags, Two Ladders sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,744.26).

Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two durch, in der auch die Arbeit Banana Curtains von Bruce McLean zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bruce McLean; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two Handbags, Two Ladders im Oktober 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.744,26).
