A top price for Brian McCarthy - as previously expected
The work The South Seas by Brian McCarthy was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,478.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The South Seas is the most expensive artwork by Brian McCarthy that we have observed at auctions so far.
