Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Brett Murray could be acquired at Phillips in New York in May 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AFRICA Theme Sale auction, the work Coat of Arms changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,223.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brett Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Party Vs The People, 2010 in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 24,390.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Brett Murray konnte im Mai 2010 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion AFRICA Theme Sale wechselte die Arbeit Coat of Arms für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.223,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brett Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Party Vs The People, 2010 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.390,00.
