Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry, which included the work Moon by Breon O'Casey. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 3,938.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Breon O'Casey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jungle Bird, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,515.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moon von Breon O'Casey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 3.938,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Breon O'Casey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jungle Bird beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.515,25) versteigert wurde.
