Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Breon O'Casey could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work May changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 889.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Breon O'Casey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jungle Bird in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,515.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Breon O'Casey konnte im März 2013 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit May für GBP 750,00 (€ 889,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Breon O'Casey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jungle Bird im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.515,25).
