Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three illustrations of Russian provincial costume by Boris Zvorykin was sold in the RUSSIAN PAINTINGS AND WORKS OF ART auction at Christies in London in November 2002. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 1,103.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Zvorykin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three costume designs for 'Prince Igor': Kontchakovna (i); Khan Kontchak (ii); and Ovlur polovtchanin (iii) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,279.70).
