In November 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art, which included the work Good News by Boris Sveshnikov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,547.79), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Boris Sveshnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Love In Winter, Circa Early 1950S in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 181,000.00 (€ 116,264.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Good News von Boris Sveshnikov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.547,79) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Boris Sveshnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian Love In Winter, Circa Early 1950S im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 181.000,00 (€ 116.264,13).
