Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Boris Smelov could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Changing Focus - A Collection of Russian and Eastern European Contemporary Photography auction, the work Five Still-Lifes changed hands for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,565.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Boris Smelov have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2013 by the work Eight Works From St Petersburg Series at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,401.28).

In der Auktion Changing Focus - A Collection of Russian and Eastern European Contemporary Photography wechselte die Arbeit Five Still-Lifes für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.565,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
