Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work Laisse Pas Traîner Ton Fils 1 by Boris Nzebo. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,363.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Nzebo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gabonese hlm (Habitats À Loyer Modérés), which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,915.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Laisse Pas Traîner Ton Fils 1 von Boris Nzebo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.363,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Boris Nzebo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gabonese hlm (Habitats À Loyer Modérés) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.915,37) versteigert wurde.
