Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cours Familiale by Boris Nzebo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,614.05). Other works by Boris Nzebo have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2018 by the work Gabonese hlm (Habitats À Loyer Modérés) at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,915.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cours Familiale von Boris Nzebo im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.614,05) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Boris Nzebo wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Gabonese hlm (Habitats À Loyer Modérés) mit GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.915,37).
